About John Lucasey and Studio 880:

LucaseyA former Hollywood Stuntman (“The Rock” with Nicolas Cage and Sean Connery, “The Fan” with Robert Di Niro and Wesley Snipes, “A Nightmare on Elm Street” and many others), John’s interest in music started at a very young age. In 1991, after living in L.A. for over 7 years, John moved back to the San Francisco Bay area to open his first studio, “Lucasey Video/Film/Audio Productions.”

In 1997, John moved his operation to a warehouse in Oakland where he opened his Award-Winning recording studio and re-named it “Studio 880” (next to Interstate 880), in a section of Oakland named “Jingle Town.” Green Day refers to the Oakland warehouse as well as “Jingle Town” in their Platinum-selling, multiple Grammy Award-winning album “American Idiot,” now made even more famous by the New York Broadway musical “American Idiot,” which is set in “Jingle Town.”

John has enjoyed much success with his company, catering to Multi-Platinum recording artists as well as some of the worlds top music producers. To further his creative spirit and concentrate more on his mixing and productions, John recently sold the legendary studio warehouse in Oakland in exchange for an historic Victorian mansion, completely restored with a fully functioning recording studio for his own mixing and productions.

Studio 880’s Mix Manor is situated in the picturesque San Francisco Bay area Island of Alameda, CA. The completely restored Manor was originally built in 1886, and now is furnished with a beautiful collection of antiques and is fashioned after a fictional world explorer from the early 1900’s. The studio is built in the basement of the building with a Victorian Gothic tracking room, Deco edit room, grand Deco Mix theater, and even a Medieval wine room.
